Info
With “The Boogie Sessions” Dopeness Galore displays a vibe of pure boogie, especially meant for DJ’s to move the crowd!
Boogie Sessions #1 is created by Dutch producer, DJ and label owner Wouda. He started spinning records to the local crowd at his hometown at the age of fifteen. After graduating high school he continued to study audio engineering. His musical influences come from artists such as Prince, Stevie Wonder, Patrice Rushen and Donald Byrd.
The first track, The Hangout (Extended Version) is an instrumental track of a session inspired by those long, edited versions from the jazz and funk masters in the early eighties.
The following track, SP 4 U (Promise), vibrates on rhythm layers held together by Rhodes and bass. Jazz drummer’s keeping the groove!!!
Quotes
Piccadillyrecords.co.uk: “Spectacularly sensual instrumental funk and soul movement”
Fatcity.co.uk: “Two groovy DJ cuts. Harking back to the rare groove and jazz funk hazy days of the 80s. Quirky dance floor material, definitely worth checking!”
Dustygroove.com: “A great modern take on the boogie groove from years back—served up wonderfully on both sides of the single!”
