Known for his infectious deep, soulful and uplifting deejay sets Kid Sublime has been playing all over the globe..from Tokyo to Sidney…from Vienna to Melbourne…from Manchester to Capetown…

At this point in time Kid has been fully focussing on releasing House music again:

“Kid Sublime’s “The GOOD EP” is a 4 track release…a definite floor filler for all you House and Disco jocks.”

Born as Jacob Otten in the Netherlands, he has been playing music from an early age. Raised on Jazz music and his mother’s singer/songwriter records he started replaying his favorite songs on the piano and drum-kit that where in the house.

At the age of 10 he got “abducted’ by the Hip Hop culture through mix-tapes and skateboarding on the streets of Amsterdam. The next 10 years he started deejaying Hip Hop and House parties in Amsterdam and was world tour deejay for the Dutch famed Zuco 103 live band.

His job at the Fat Beats record store in Amsterdam was his personal Mecca when it came to Hip Hop and Funk records and the culture as a whole. Through this store he met artists such as: Defari, Camp Lo, Guru, Declaime and Frank N Dank with whom he’d be recording later in his musical journey.

Despite Kid’s Hiphop background he was hailed for his “Rednose Distrikt” output and his Deephouse 12’’ series “Basementworks” on Rush Hour records and his “Basement Soul” album which where played by legendary deejays across the globe.
