The ‘San Proper presents L.O.V.E.’ video captures the harmony between three rugged boxers from three corners of the world. Manilla, Cape Town and Amsterdam are the stage of these sportsmen who train on their stamina and technique - a metaphor for the repetition of a live artist as San Proper himself. “Playing live on stage is a lot like boxing. You have a few seconds to take your breath before you start a new track, like the breaks between the rounds in a boxing match. When you start playing you give the full 100% without a chance to back down. For this reason, I’ve always had a fascination for boxers.”, explains San Proper. The fighting machines running through the street visualises the contradiction of love, hence San Proper’s sweater in the video spells ‘evol’ instead of love.
