KID SUBLIME PRESENTS: BALLROOM RADIO

One of Amsterdam’s house music pioneers is without a doubt Kid Sublime.  A big part of his musical knowledge he gathered through working behind the counter at the legendary Fat Beats record store, by touring all over world with Brazilian/electronic band Zuco 103 and as a founding member of the Rednose Distrikt cult together with Aardvarck and Steven de Peven aka Awanto 3. Nowadays most of ‘Kid’s’ productions find their way to the Dopeness Galore label and continue to rock dance floors wherever they get played. As of now he’s got his own radio show to add to this impressive CV: it’s time for BALLROOM RADIO!
This new bi-weekly radio show on Studio 80 Radio has its roots in a wide musical spectrum and a deep love for soulful music, which is a perfect match to anyone’s lazy Sunday evening.  Although those Sunday evenings might not be so lazy anymore in the near future, if it’s up to Kid..
During the first hour Kid Sublime will go through his enormous collection of albums to dig up and play those tunes he considers to be “the best ever made”. Free Jazz, Folk, Techno, HipHop, House, RnB.. all straight up 100% good music! The second hour of the show will see Kid inviting his favorite DJ’s and music heads to do a special mix, exclusively for the show.
Loads of good music, loads of talking about good music, and lots of laughter guaranteed!
Broadcasted every 2nd and last Sunday of the month from 19.00 – 21.00.
