Dear friends,
2008 has been a great year for us;
Starting with Pharoah's Finest compilation, which for
some was a discovery of a great musician, for others a
reminder of this living legend and some felt it very
personal to be confronted (again) with his magical music.
Than we released a single by Overlast's My Busted Knee,
which got remixed by 90's breakbeat legend Depth Charge.
At the same time the Finnish Freepoint Crew opened up
for a new series of European hiphop releases, including a
massive remix by Elsas and an intro by me..yeah!
In the meantime Suzi Analogue from Philly signed with
us and was sent over to Las Vegas to do some exciting
recordings with no one less than Georgia Ann Muldrow
and Dudley Perkins, be on the look out!
The last part of the year was fueled by the man who's with
us from the beginning, Kid Sublime. We still feel
very proud that we did his "darkest album to date" including
all the extra bits, huge guest performances, an insane video
clip and a European tour with fellow musicians and friends
Frank N Dank. Expect more from the Kid sooner than
expected..
While '08 was a great year, it also did change a lot;
From the start of a heavy dip in the economy (including the
music industry) to a revolution in US presidents, from being
separated from each other to being more together ("what's
going on?"), and this just made us think about how we
will be rocking in the upcoming year..please understand one
thing: WE WILL!!!
We're very proud to start the new year with the most
touching and mystic man in jazz, Chet Baker. As a special Christmas gift
